Free and Reduced Lunch Forms
Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) for School Year 2021-2022
Some families with students in qualifying P-EBT schools (Merit Academy is a qualifying school), will receive P-EBT benefits for days school meals could not be accessed due to COVID-19 between the months of September 2021 through May 2022.
Students must be certified as eligible for free or reduced-price meals through the National School Lunch Program during the current school year. Receiving meals at no cost this year does not automatically qualify your student for P-EBT. Contact Ruth Campbell or Audrey Merighe in the kitchen if your household needs to confirm eligibility or apply for free or reduced-price meal benefits. Household applications must be submitted to Merit Academy no later than May 6, 2022, to determine free or reduced-price meal eligibility for P-EBT benefits.
The Department of Workforce Services has posted additional information for parents/guardians about the school year 2021-2022 P-EBT program. Information regarding summer 2022 P-EBT benefits will be posted when available. Go online to https://jobs.utah.gov/covid19/pebt/ to learn more.
We encourage students to continue to participate in school meal programs. To learn more about Merit’s school meals visit our website at meritprepacademy.org.

FREE AND REDUCED LUNCH FORMS
This years FREE and REDUCED applications are available now online. The benefit of returning a free and reduced application this year, even with no cost meals, is that our school can qualify for different state benefits AND when school resumes in the Fall of 2022 they are still active until the end of September (whereas they would have to pay from the beginning of school until their application is reviewed). For more information contact Audrey Merighe or Ruth Campbell.
