DIRECTOR
Merit Preparatory Academy is currently seeking a director who will promote our vision, provide meaningful developmental opportunities to our students, faculty, and staff, and lead with heart and integrity. At Merit we engage in learning with a hands-on, real-world approach as we foster principles of unity, belonging, creating vision, acquiring knowledge, growing through service, tackling challenges with determination, and becoming principled leaders who will change the world in important ways.

Additionally, the Director will:
- Support and promote the mission, vision, and values of the academy
- Understand, implement, and enforce school policies
- Give appropriate feedback and provide consistent performance evaluations for teachers
- Oversee operations, academic achievement, curriculum development, and finances
- Effectively plan, schedule, and allocate school resources
- Be a liaison between the school and the community to create positive community involvement
- Seek to build positive relationships with potential feeder schools in the area
- Report to the State Charter School Board along with the Utah State Office of Education
Qualifications:
We welcome applicants who have knowledge of charter school administration. Candidates must
demonstrate leadership qualities and personal characteristics necessary to work effectively with
students, teachers, parents, and other community stakeholders. A Bachelor’s degree is
required. Preference may be given to candidates with an advanced degree and/or previous school administration experience.

Full Job Description
Title: High School Cafeteria Worker
Location: Merit Preparatory Academy
We are looking for a pleasant, hard working and reliable person to join our school lunch team. We have a part time position available. You must be able to work every school day Monday – Friday.
Essential Functions:
– Work well with other staff and students demonstrating a positive attitude and
professionalism
– Assist with maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and cafeteria areas
– Assist with food–cook, prep, and serve
– Assist with documentation and counts
– Able to work in a fast-paced environment
– Knowledge and adherence to school policies
Terms of Employment:
– Part-time work from 12:00-3:00 or until done (between 2-3 hours a day)
– Option to substitute for other employees as needed
– Required annual trainings
– Wage depends on work experience
– Every employee must pass a fingerprint/background check
– Have and maintain a Food Handlers Permit (within the first 2 weeks of
employment)
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
– Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, twist, and move quickly. Occasional lifting
of up to 50 lbs.

HEAD GIRLS VARSITY COACH
Job Description
Head Girls Varsity Volleyball Coach needed at a 2A charter school for grades 9-12.
Motivating, positive, supportive, knowledgeable coach needed.
Works well with high school student-athletes.
Stipend of $2,100 (made in two payments)
Responsibilities
Season officially begins in August and ends in October. Additional preseason practices recommended.
Create and attend all practices and games.
Travel with the team by bus throughout Utah county.
Coach 2-3 games per week.
Run daily practices.
Attend 1-2 tournaments.
Supervise fundraising for the program.
Communicate with athletes regularly, especially about grades.
Open line of communication with parents.
Help Admin. with sport fees, uniform borrowing, and athlete accountability.
Other responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
Previous coaching experience preferred.
